Dr. Amit Vora, a specialist in cornea and refractive surgery, has joined Eye Physicians of Sussex County. He is skilled in cataract surgery (including complex procedures), cornea transplants, intraocular lens, repositioning procedures, refractive surgery, dry eye, cornea pathology, and comprehensive ophthalmology, and has lectured and published extensively in his field.
A New Jersey native, Dr. Vora most recently was a clinical and surgical fellow in cornea and refractive surgery at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in Manhattan. He received his undergraduate degree in economics (with honors) and South Asian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He holds an MBA from Rutgers and an M.D. with distinction in research from the Rutgers University, Robert-Wood Johnson Medical School. He also did a year of research at the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and was chief resident at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI.
He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Additionally, he has been an Eye Team volunteer with Kenya Relief, providing eye care to approximately 500 patients in rural Kenya.
Dr. Vora and his wife reside in Morris County.
