Dr. Lezli is the co-founder of Dental Kidz. She grew up in Westchester County, NY and is a dual citizen of the United States and Jamaica. She graduated with a B.A. in English from Spelman College in Atlanta and received her dental education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Lezli completed her advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, an affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY where she was also a chief resident. During her studies at Bronx Lebanon Hospital she received extensive training treating children under sedation and general anesthesia. Dr. Lezli received additional training at the Rose F. Kennedy University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities in NY on addressing the unique needs of medically compromised and special needs patients.
Dr. Lezli is a member of the medical staff at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ, and is the oral healthcare advisor to the Newark Preschool Council, the largest Headstart program in the state of NJ. She is also a member of the New Jersey Pediatric Oral Health Coalition, is on the dental advisory board for United Healthcare of NJ, and is a board member of Wynona’s House, a non-profit organization that among many things provides comprehensive mental health and medical services for sexually and severely physically abused children that are residents of Essex County, NJ.
Dr. Lezli is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is board certified. She has been selected by parents as one of NJ's Favorite Kids' Docs by NJ Family Magazine for the past four years. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Her special interests are the prevention of childhood obesity and increasing awareness of oral health and its impact on overall health. Dr. Lezli lives in Essex County with her husband Chris and their 5 lovely daughters.
